I don’t know if Tim Stafford is one half warrior on his mother’s side, one half teacher on his father’s side, or if it’s vice versa, but I do know that he is one of the “mad ones” that Kerouac spoke of, when he described those who are mad to live, and write, and teach. He’s one of those writers and performers and teachers that has the spark of life in them. People lean into his words and laugh with him the way one laughs with family and friends after a long absence from home. He is a poet, and a hell raiser, and a teacher, and my God…who could hope to be anything more than that?
